Bigger, Bolder, Better

Many people have asked us what we mean by Bigger, Bolder, Better. Here's our answer

Bigger: We are bigger this time.

First, we have entries from all 11 districts of Nagaland. Last year, not all districts were represented.
We are conducting auditions in more centres than last year. Last we had auditions only in Kohima and Mokokchung. This year, we have lined up auditions in Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, Mokokchung and Tuensang.
We have more corporate interest in our show. Aircel is our main event sponsor for Naga Idol 2.07. The fact that they are interested in investing in us proves that our show is big enough to reach a large number of people, perhaps more than they would have reached out to if they had gone the usual way of advertising in print media and TV. We also have other sponsors with us such as Morung Express (our official media partner), Nagaland Hotels Ltd, Department of Horticulture, etc, with us which shows that we are bigger this time than last year.
We have added the option of voting for your idols by SMS this time. At present, only Aircel subscribers can avail of this facility but we hope to include others too.
M-Fest 2007 too is bigger. We have line up a comedy show (Wa Wa menu show), a festival of crafts and food and others along with the Idol Finale and Miss Mokokchung.
And of course, we have our website this time, www.nagaidol.com; your one-stop source of all information on Aircel Naga Idol 2.07.
Bolder:

This year, our idols will sing not only as good as the original but they will sing it in their own style. They will be encouraged to not follow the familiar tune but modify it and make their own and add their own distinctive style to the song so that the songs becomes the idol's and not a copy of the original. This takes some guts on the part of the idol contestant to follow unfamiliar trails and venture into new territory.
This time, we will have the local dialect round where the final six idols will sing an original song by a local artiste. This round will showcase the idol's mettle and also provide a platform for the original artist where he/she can reach out to the whole of Nagaland.
Our music team will have to cope with all these demands from the show. Can they do it? Yes, we believe they will.

Better:

If it's bigger and bolder, it can only be better.
